Ice Cream Parlor Memories

My sweet tooth is no secret. One of my biggest treats when I was a child was going to the local Baskin Robbins for a cone with my family.

Finding Lula’s, above, and Stogo in Manhattan have been a real treat. If you don’t live near a vegan ice cream shop, turn your kitchen into your own parlor.

Whole Foods is a great place to grab sundae fixins from non-dairy dessert to cookies to crumble. So many are lactose intolerant, though, that even your local grocer probably carries some vegan ice cream. One of my favorite brands is Purely Decadent made with coconut milk. At a Giant Supermarket in PA, I even found Let’s Do Organic vegan gummi bears.
