Gearing up for the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival has been hectic (sites don’t really update themselves, you know), but when a super blogger like Play With My Food Liebster’s you, you have to act. That Jake over there, volleyed some really nice words at me, and they’re all true. (J/K. LOL!)
So what is a Liebster Blog Award? Liebster is German and translates into English as “dearest” or “favorite”. It’s a peer recognition award for bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
Jake was one of the first people to comment on my blog and I have nothing but high praise for Play With My Food. His blog actually embodies what I see as a great blog: eye-catching pictures, a unique voice/theme, and a window into others’ lives/kitchens. I mean, he let his readers get a glimpse at his vegan wedding! How great is that?
From the looks of things, the blogs below make the cut. The Liebsters go to…
Big Mike’s Eats. All Vegan, All Tasty, All The Time
Micah’s blog is a friendly affair. Alongside the amazing pics of Cream Cheese Wontons, Haggis, and Juicy Lucy Burgers, you’re likely to see his friends/family lending a hand and taste testing.
A Tablespoon Of Liz
Liz is such a little cutie pie with her rainbow sunshades! Her personality comes across in every aspect of her blog, right down to the yellow wallpaper. From veganizing Slutty Brownies, to making Kombucha, to her no-fun, holiday stint in the hospital is a dose of goodness.
Bacon is NOT an Herb
From recipes like Heart-y Tomato Soup and Award-Winning Vegan Chili to numerous restaurant reviews, this blog makes it look easy to be vegetarian/vegan in Central PA (aka middle-of-nowhere, which I think I can say cause I’m from small town PA.)
